Agia Triada Guide for First-Time Visitors

Located just 20 minutes from Thessaloniki airport, Agia Triada is a real hidden gem of Thermaikos Bay.

This seaside village has a lot to offer to visitors from all around the world. We have compiled a list of basic information for first-time visitors to help you get around Agia Triada more easily.

TRANSPORTATION

Public TransportAgia Triada has a very simple topography with streets that are either parallel or perpendicular to the sea. Everything is within a short walking distance. Neighbouring villages of Neoi Epivates and Perea (Peraia) can be reached by bus, boat, taxi or your own/rented car. It takes just around 5-10 minutes by car to get there.

For further trips, you need to take bus no. 72 going to IKEA Bus Station and change for the bus going in the direction of your interest. See timetables at: http://oasth.gr (Organization of Urban Transportation of Thessaloniki). Ticket machines in the buses do not give change so have some coins with you (ticket prices around 1.20–1.30 EUR one way). There are no night buses servicing the area. The first one leaves around 5am, the last one – around 10:00pm.

Bus

Bus stops in Agia Triada are located by the main road Thessaloniki-Nea Michaniona which is a parallel road to Exasterou street. Buses in the direction of Nea Michaniona or Aggelochori leave from the stop by Stasi bakery shop, buses to IKEA Bus Station leave from the bus shelter on the other side of the road (opposite Angelo bakery shop).

Boat

There is a waterbus to Thessaloniki that leaves from the pier in Agia Triada at 10:00 every day in summer season. The morning route is served by Olympia boat that first stops at the pier in Perea/Neoi Epivates (neighbouring villages to Agia Triada), then at White Tower of Thessaloniki and then at the harbour of Thessaloniki. A cruise from Agia Triada to Thessaloniki takes 50 minutes.

Next departures from Agia Triada: 11:50, 14:20, 16:50, 19:30. To return to Agia Triada, take boat Agios Georgios that leaves at 10:50, 13:20, 15:50 and 18:30 from Thessaloniki harbour. To / From Airport

By bus: Take bus no. 72 to IKEA bus station, then change to bus no. 79 going straight to the airport. By taxi: Airport transfer costs approx. 25 EUR. You can use Prime Traveller Taxi Company mentioned above.

ATMs/CASH MACHINES

There is no ATM in Agia Triada. However, you can pay by card in the local supermarket and most eateries. You will find a few cash machines on Ampelokipon street, the main street of Perea.

SHOPS & GROCERIES

Every Tuesday morning there is a farmer’s market in Agia Triada. You can buy fresh fish and seafood as well. 

The local supermarket is Express Market, located at Venizelou street, Agia Triada. Open from 7:00 until 22:00 in summer and 21:00 in low season.

You will also find LIDL supermarkets in Perea and by the main National Road N.Michanionas-Thessalonikis. In the neighbouring village of Neoi Epivates there is also a big Masoutis super Market as well as Discount Markt.

PHARMACIES

There are two pharmacies in Agia Triada, on 28is Octovriou street and by the main road Thessaloniki-Michaniona, next to Aman Tapsi patisserie.

HOSPITAL

A private medical centre and hospital closest to Agia Triada is Inter Balkan Medical Center, at Asklipiou 10, Pilea Chortiatis 555 35, +30 231 040 0000.
Located just next to IKEA Bus Station (take bus no.72 from Agia Triada to get directly there).
You can make a paid appointment (around 60-80 EUR) with English-speaking doctors of all specialties, usually for the same or next day. The facility also offers interpreting services for foreign patients.
