Thinking about holidays in Agia Triada, but not sure what weather to expect? While no forecast can be totally exact, there are some general trends that can be spotted. We have summed up our experience from previous years and here is what weather conditions you may expect depending on the month of your visit.
April: Strong winds to be expected, which attract fans of all kind of water sports like kitesurfing. The sea is perhaps still too cold to swim and the air temperature may not give you a chance to wear bikini as of yet. But you can enjoy some warm rays of sunshine sitting outside on the beach at one of the seaside taverns.
May: You can expect quite a fussy mixture of weather, there might be days when it is raining heavily, just to have almost 30°C and perfect sunbathing conditions the very next day. Some places and tourist attractions might be still closed, but you can already see quite a lot of people coming mostly around the weekends.
June: Sea temperature is considerably higher than in May and you can really feel the difference. Towards the end of June temperatures may spike up to 40°C degrees Celsius, unless some abnormal weather occur. Increasing number of sun worshippers to be seen on the beach.
July: Very pleasant sea and air temperatures, reaching 35-40°C and 26°C degrees Celsius respectively. Lots of people head to Agia Triada in this period as school holidays are in full bloom.
August: With air temperature around 30°C and very warm, calm sea you are bound to experience Agia Triada at its best. Second half of August is probably the best time to visit Agia Triada and discover all its charms.
September: First half of September is mostly similar to last fortnight of August, although there might be occasional rain. From mid-September towards the end of the month the temperatures at night start to be lower, and it might get a bit windy again.
October: Although you cannot expect sunshine to be guaranteed all days, usually the temperatures are still quite pleasant. At some point of October you are almost always still able to sunbathe and swim in the sea, even towards the end of the month.
